What can I say about me? I love the fantasy RPG! I started to play Dungeons and Dragons when I was 9 years old, over time I have experienced other beautiful games such as "Das schwarze Auge (The Dark Eye)", "Call of Cthulhu", "Nephandum"( A beautiful Italian RPG based on the rules of D & D). It is now a few years that I'm playing a campaign set in Greyhawk with the rules of Pathfinder Paizo. Of course I also tried some adventure on Golarion, which is the main setting of the Pathfinder ;)

BESTIARIUM ART
-INDEX-

This journal is dedicated to monsters in games Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder RPG. Each creature has its own characteristics that make it special than other. For this reason, the creators of these role-playing games have divided the monsters in various categories. In this journal I will quote the descriptions of these types, using as a source the "Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary". The monsters that are considered "Product Identity" by Wizards of the Coast (Beholder, Gauth, Carrion Crawler, Displacer Beast, Githyanki, Githzerai, Kuo-toa, Mind flayer, Slaad, Umber Hulk, Yuan-ti) will be included in various types, referring to the "Monster Manual" D&D 3rd edition Wizards of the Coast.

It floats before you, a bulbous body with a central, unblinking eye, and a large maw filled with daggerlike teeth. Smaller eyes, attached to wriggling stalks, sprout from the top of the orblike body.

Beholders are the stuff of nightmares. These creatures, also called the “spheres of many eyes” or “eye tyrants,” are deadly adversaries. Beholders speak their own language and Common.

Carrion Crawler

© Wizards of the Coast

Carrion Crawler by DaveAllsop

The stink of rotten meat surrounds this multilegged creature with a segmented, 10-foot-long body. Eight writhing tentacles protrude from its head, growing directly from below its clacking mandibles and tooth-filled maw.

Carrion crawlers are aggressive subterranean scavengers, greatly feared for their paralyzing attacks. They scour their underground territory for dead and decaying flesh but won’t hesitate to attack and kill living creatures. Each of a carrion crawler’s tentacles is about 2 feet long and secretes a sticky, paralyzing substance. Like so many hybrid monsters, the carrion crawler may well be the result of arcane experimentation. A carrion crawler weighs about 500 pounds.

Dungeon and Dragons: Underdark by boudicca

This strange humanoid-shaped being stands about as tall as a human. Its flesh is rubbery and greenish-mauve, glistening with slime. The creature’s head looks rather like a four-tentacled octopus, made all the more horrible by a pair of bloated white eyes.

Mind flayers, also called illithids, are so insidious, diabolical, and powerful that all denizens of the dark fear them. They bend others to their will and shatter enemies’ minds.

Runehound

The Runehound by juliedillon

The creature before you looks like a large, hairless wolf. Its pale, slimy skin is covered with bizarre, abstract tattoos.
As it moves forward, you see that it has no head; instead, a long, serpentine neck extends from the middle of its back, terminating in a grotesquely oversized maw filled with multiple rows of teeth. Though it has no eyes, the mouth unerringly whips around to face you, spewing forth a jet of acidic bile.

A runehound’s slick skin is pale and mottled, although keepers often tattoo garish patterns on their runehounds.

A runehound can be up to 6 feet long and 3-1/2 feet tall at the shoulder, and can weigh up to 360 pounds.

Umber Hulk

Umber Hulk Companion by RalphHorsley

This hulking, powerfully built creature looks something like a cross between a great ape and a beetle.

The low, rounded head is dominated by a massive pair of mandibles and rows of triangular teeth.

It has two big compound eyes like a beetle’s, with two smaller eyes like an ape’s in between.

Armor plates cover virtually all of its chitinous body, whose scattered feelers resemble sparse hair.

Yuan-Ti Anathema

Yuan-ti Anathema by Concept-Art-House

Revered as divine incarnations of their unspeakable deity, these creatures are the most loathsome form of the vile yuan-ti race. They represent such a perversion of their original human nature that their very existence is heresy against all the deities of humanity, no matter how evil thus, they proudly call themselves anathema.
